Dijon
Old dijon, church was quite large and had some crazy stone carvings. here's the scoop, "the cathedral of Saint Benigne. This prime example of burgundian gothic was built in the 13th - 14th centuries on the site of an earlier Romanesque Benedictine abbey whose remians comprise the crypt with its rotunda built in the year 1000 and the first floor of the monks building."
I wondered around the old town for a while then started to leave. The gps always showed me where I needed to go, but not the one way streets. I finally gave up and walked the bike down the sidewalk. Trouble with that, the sidewalk was too narrow for the trailer. Got out and followed really small roads through the vinyards of burgandy.
Also of interest in this picture, the street was one way, in the direction of the photo, but there is a counter flow lane for bikes on the left side.
